General objective of the position
The financial assistant will work under the supervision of the project coordinator in close coordination with the financial manager and in permanent contact with the rest of the team. He/she will carry out financial and budgetary management tasks for the project. The working languages are English and French.

The financial and administrative assistant can be called on to support the general organisation and implementation of activities, notably on logistics. He/she is part of the project team, participates in team meetings and supports colleagues when needed based on abilities and availability.
In accordance with the Financing Agreement between the European Union and the Commission of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Expertise France, the French agency for international technical cooperation, has been contracted to implement the regional project «West African Response on Cybersecurity and Fight against Cybercrime (OCWAR-C)».
This project is part of the priorities of cooperation between the European Union, the ECOWAS Commission and its Member States under the Regional Indicative Programme of the 11th European Development Fund signed on 6 July 2015.
The project is implemented within the ECOWAS Member States (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo) as well as in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
The overall objective of the project is to contribute to enhancing cybersecurity and combatting cybercrime, with the following expected

The project is in its last year and will close end of January 2024.
Recruitment is subject to ongoing approval from the donor.
Qualifications and skills
Professional experience
Minimum of 3 years professional experience in administration or financial assistant positions or a field relevant to the position

Workplace: Abuja, Nigeria, with possible travel across West African countries
The signature of the contract will depend on the signature of the project contract between Expertise France and its donor.
