Mission description

Expertise France is the French international technical assistance agency, created from the merger of the six main French public implementing agencies on 1 January 2015, in order to enhance capacities to mobilize technical expertise, making it possible to address the growing needs of emerging and developing countries more effectively. Under the joint supervision of the Ministry of European and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economy, within the AFD GROUP, Expertise France aims at participating in French cooperation and development aid through a wide range of interventions in areas such as sustainable development, economic development, public finances, governance and human rights, social protection and employment, health, and issues of stability, safety and security.

Expertise France is accredited by the European Commission for delegated management (the ‘six pillars’ audit), which means it can be awarded indirect management of projects and guarantees EF’s capacity to successfully implement activities and projects with which it is entrusted, and ensure efficient distribution of administrative, hr and financial management tasks.

Project or context description

Expertise France – Jordan Office seeks to recruit a full-time professional Driver to support daily programmatic, administrative, and operational activities. The Driver will provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation services for staff, consultants, partners, and official visitors, in accordance with Expertise France policies, security procedures, and Jordanian laws and regulations.

Duty Station:

The Driver will be based in Amman, Jordan, and may be required to travel to other governorates and field locations within the Kingdom as required by operational needs.

Contract Duration:

The position is full-time under a fixed-term contract for an initial period of one (1) year, renewable subject to satisfactory performance, project funding, and organizational requirements, in line with Jordanian Labor Law.

Scope of work and responsibilities:

  • Under the direct supervision of the Logistics, Liaison and Security Manager, the Driver will:
  • Provide safe, secure, and timely transportation for staff, consultants, and official visitors.
  • Operate assigned vehicles in compliance with Jordanian traffic laws and Expertise France procedures.
  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and roadworthiness of assigned vehicles.
  • Conduct routine vehicle checks and report mechanical issues.
  • Maintain vehicle logbooks, fuel records, and mileage reports, movement plan follow up.
  • Ensure validity of all vehicle documentation.
  • Support administrative and logistical tasks when required.
  • Follow security and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Refueling the car, managing operational cash advances and fuel, maintenance and parking invoicing.

Required profile

 

  • Valid Jordanian driving license.
  • Minimum five (5) years of professional driving experience.
  • Good knowledge of roads in Amman and across Jordan.
  • Experience with international organizations is an asset.
  • Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
  • Languages : Arabic : Excellent , English : Good 

Additional information

Working Hours: 

Eight (8) hours per day, five (5) days per week, with flexibility as required in accordance with Jordanian Labor Law, working schedule and shift might be changed based on the Expertise France needs.
