The Project Financial analyst will conduct the following main tasks:
» Monitoring the verification of timeliness and completeness of reports on assets and interests of judges, prosecutors and HJPC members, monitoring of the process of verification of reported data by the Department
» Analyzing of the data from reports for the purpose of identifying incompatible activities and potential conflicts of interest and reporting on this;
» Analyzing of the data from reports on assets and interests of judges, prosecutors and members of the Council and monitoring necessary checks and comparisons of data;
» Analyzing of the data from public and other records that may be relevant for data verification and monitoring necessary data calculations and comparisons;
» Monitoring of the notification procedures in case of irregularities in the data from the property reports of judges and prosecutors;
» Participating in the drafting of reports, in particular by compiling statistical data;
» Preparing analyses, reports and other documents for the implementation of the tasks falling within the mandate of the EMOBiH;
» Performing other tasks falling within the mandate of the EMOBiH, under request of the supervisor.
As part of it's ongoing support to judicial independence and integrity, and fight against corruption in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the European Union has mandated Expertise France to implement a technical assistance project aimed at monitoring and supporting the esatblishment and operationalisation of a new Department in charge of verifying assets and interest declarations of judges, prosecutors, and membes of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH. The EMOBiH project started operations on the 7th of July with the deployment of international staff.
The primary aim of EMOBiH project is to guarantee that the asset declaration system functions efficiently, without bias, and in complete adherence to legal standards, by concentrating on :
Qualifications and experience:
- University degree (minimum Bachelor’s dregree) in either Law, Economy, Political Science, Criminology, Accounting, or any other relevant domain;
- Professional proficiency in English and native/fluent B/C/S;
- At least 3-year working experience in a related field;
- Experience in justice related assignments, an asset.
Professional skills:
- Excellent oral and writing skills;
- Analytical skills;
- Intermediate knowledge of accounting and finance;
- Basic knowledge and understanding of the competences of the HJPC BiH and the work of its Secretariat;
- Basic knowledge and understanding of the judicial system in BiH;
- Good knowledge of computer and communications tools (word, powerpoint, etc.); advanced knowledge of IT tools for data processing (Excel, Access or other databases);
- Excellent coordination and teamwork skills – in particular in a multicultural context.
