The objective of this consultancy is to support the implementation of the Greek Defence Industry Project, by addressing the expectations outlined in the action document prepared in collaboration with the Greek partner.
Strengthening economic growth, technological advancements, and geopolitical influence through a self-sufficient defense industry aligned with EU priorities, thereby enhancing global security and resilience for both the nation and the European Union.
1) Human Skills Required
Strong leadership skills in network management, stakeholder coordination, and change management;
Excellent writing and summarizing abilities;
Excellent communication skills with high-level authorities, industrial partners, and international stakeholders;
Sense of innovation, curiosity, and critical thinking;
Excellent command of professional English, both written and spoken.
2) Desired Profile(s) for the Specific Position(s) Proposed
Minimum of five years of higher education (engineering school, scientific university, or political science with a specialization in defense/innovation);
Proven experience (8 to 15 years) in a ministry, public agency, defense industries, or as a strategic consultant;
Knowledge of the French defense ecosystem and the European Union, particularly the European Defence Agency (EDA);
Experience in supporting start-ups or technology projects is an asset.
3) Experts’ Professional Skills and Competencies
Experience or knowledge of international organizations involved in the “security-defense” nexus, particularly those of the EU and NATO;
Knowledge of French and international export control and dual-use regulations;
Expertise in innovative project management and change management;
Strategic analysis of technological and geopolitical issues;
Experience working in partnership with the network of French defense industries;
Experience in developing and implementing defense innovation strategies;
Previous professional experience or knowledge of the geographical area concerned would be an asset.
4) Specific Conditions
Security clearance required or in process;
Ability to work in sensitive and highly confidential environments.
