Mission description
As part of the development of a European project focusing on food safety and security with an emphasis on CBRN risks, Expertise France is recruiting several experts to ensure the technical monitoring and implementation of activities in 10 countries from the African Atlantic Façade region (Benin, Morocco, Senegal, Cameroon, RCI, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Mauritania, Togo and Gabon).
Project or context description
The three-year project will mobilise experts for a number of days per year determined by the project's activities. Frequent travel will be required to the ten partner countries. Proven professional experience in the area, cultural sensitivity and fluency in French and English are required. The following activities may be part of this project:
- Assessment of CBRN risks impacting food safety and security;
- Proposal of specific measures to control and manage accidental or malicious acts;
- Monitoring, updating, and improving the contingency plan in collaboration with the project stakeholders;
The area of intervention may cover three types of risk: natural, accidental or intentional.
Strengthening the supply chain and establishing an early warning system (EWS) should be considered essential elements of the project's activities.
Required profile
Qualifications and skills:
- University degree or equivalent, preferably in law (directives and regulations) or engineering with a specialisation in the CBRN field applied to food safety and security (supply chain), or any other diploma related to the subject of this project;
- Very good communication skills
- Very good organizational skills
- Fluency in French and English is mandatory
- Ability to operate in a multi-disciplinary and multicultural team
- Excellent knowledge in the corresponding EU legislation and its implementation
- Excellent knowledge regarding risk assessment and risk management

General professional experience:
- At least 10 years of professional experience
Specific professional experience:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of chemical hazards, focusing on the risk management of chemical hazards
- Experience in participation in international project
- Ability to keep and manage sensitive and restricted information
